Instruction on how to compute cost is as follows:
- Use
the arrow tool and select area that you need to compute. Make sure that if you include all
areas that you do not use, because it would be classified as waste
material.
- If
you did not draw your box to scale you will have to then adjust your cost
appropriately or redraw your drawing and then do the following procedures.
- Next
select Plugins from the menu bar,
then down to Cost, then
select Assign estimate to faces.
- You
will need to enter the value for a square foot of material, use the table
above to get your data to figure cost of material.
- The
final step to figure cost for that area is to go once again to Plugins, then down to Cost, then to Compute Estimate.
- This
will bring up a pop up menu screen with the answer computed for you.
- You
will need to total up all cost of all of the materials for your chair
using the table above.
- You
will need to turn into me for your final exam a typed report given me the
results of your findings along with your drawing of how to construct your
chair.
- This
is due Jan. 10 @ 2:35. If you need to come to the computer lab and use
the computer to finish up exam that is fine, if you are finished you do
not need to show up for the final exam.
- Unfortunately
or fortunately this class is over, if you need something or I can help you
with something please do not hesitate to ask, my door is always open.
